AI Art in the Style of Andrew Wyeth

I’ve been using Midjourney lately instead of the Wombo app. I think it’s better, easier to control, with more usable images for things like mockups and blog post images. Recently I experimented with making some AI art in the style of Andrew Wyeth. If you want to try some other artist styles I recommend this site that contains a massive style library for midjourney. It helps you understand what artists it “knows.” I tried Andrew Wyeth – and got interesting results. Wyeth already has an inherent weirdness to his ultra realistic paintings, so when you increase the “weirdness” factor, it really makes some convincing results. What would Wyeth think of these?

There’s something about these that MJ really got right. They are evoking that Chadds Ford mid-winter feeling so well, and also the weirdness of a catching the subject in an awkward, vulnerable state. This one is compelling, and I could imagine it reproduced as a large scale painting:

What is that coming out of his behind, though? Is it a game bird? The posture of this person is extremely awkward and unsettling as well, which adds to the drama and mystery. Is it a woman? A young boy?

This makes me think of if Wyeth were a surrealist, and what an interesting one he would be:

At any rate, this is one of those AI rabbit holes I could get lost in, because MJ is so good at producing results that resemble the artist. At the end of the day I feel like I have to step away and start making marks on a page, because just typing in prompts creates a hollow feeling. It’s like sitting in front of a slot machine all day. These images must either be made into something, or abandoned.
